Passionate about local histories of art and culture, Sydney Nichols has developed a muscle for swiftly realizing collection management and interpretation goals.
Across six years of experience in fine art museums, cultural non-profits, and design studios, she has gained a strong foundation in exhibition planning, archival research, and advancing clients’ collecting visions. Prior to joining C2, she supported curatorial projects and public programming efforts at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and the Momentary.
Sydney earned her BA in Art History and English from the University of Arkansas as a Bob & Ruth Shipley Honors College Fellow. She completed her MA in Art History with a focus on contemporary art and regional studies at the University of Texas at Austin. Bolstered by a background in anticipating strategic next steps for exhibitions and creative businesses, Sydney is driven to connect clients and collections’ audiences alike with meaningful histories of art.
